Nature Walks

Sprout students take guided walks around beautiful Gabriel Park, the home of Southwest Community Center. Kids discover new and interesting aspects of nature, the seasons, the landscape, and our watershed.

Sustainable Crafts

Sprout teachers build sustainable crafts into the weekly curriculum. Sustainable crafts are creative projects made using discarded and recyclable materials.

Gardening

Students experience what it’s like to nurture and tend to plants in the Sprout Garden at Gabriel Parks Community Garden. The Sprout Academy’s patio offers additional gardening opportunities during the Spring and Fall, and indoor plants are cared for during the winter months.

Field Trips

Sprouts in the 3’s and 4’s classes have the chance to experience nature off-site with closely supervised field trips. Your Teacher will provide you with dates and all necessary information. Fun! 

Achievement

The accomplishments of the Sprouts are celebrated with a graduation ceremony and party at the end of the school year!

Cultural Exploration

Sprouts learn about people and cultures from around the world, as well as the environments that they care for and call home.
